In addition to players from the US, teams from Italy, Spain, Aruba, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Colombia and Puerto Rico will be participating. Beach tennis is a fast growing sport that will soon become recognized as an official Olympic event. There will be cash prizes and trophies, as well as official parties at Two Georges at the Cove and JB's on the Beach.

The Jose Cuervo Series kicks off on Memorial Day weekend on the beaches of Fort Lauderdale, FL and will tour the United States throughout the summer culminating with the Jose Cuervo Pro Beach Volleyball Series National Championships in Huntington Beach, CA in September. Each tournament of the Jose Cuervo Series will be sanctioned by USA Volleyball (USAV), the governing body of the sport, and will be broadcast nationally on NBC Sports Network.

The story of Mel and Edna a middle-class, middle-aged, middle-happy couple living in a Manhattan high rise apartment building. Mel loses his job, the apartment is robbed, Edna gets a job, Mel loses his mind, Edna loses her job . . . to say nothing of the more minor tribulations of nosy neighbors, helpful relatives and exact bus fares. The couple suffers indignity after indignity (some self-inflicted) and when they seem on the verge of surrender, they thumb their noses defiantly and dig the trenches for battle.
