The Symphony

Energy
and anticipation surrounds The Symphony, downtown Fort Lauderdale's
newest riverfront residential address, as its two towers near completion
for occupancy this summer.
A well-orchestrated
community, these two 22-story towers enhance Fort Lauderdale's
fast-growing skyline. The Symphony has 338 spacious one, two and
three-bedroom residences, many with spectacular city and water views.
Every day closer to completion, the excitement grows about this elegant
address. There are still select residences available with two or
three bedrooms from the $400,000's and penthouses from $600,000.
Located at 600 West
Las Olas Blvd, The Symphony's prime location on one of Fort Lauderdale's
last parcels of waterfront along the New River is intended for those who
long to be at the center of it all. The Broward Center for the
Performing Arts is steps away and the Riverwalk promenade runs right
beside the property. Minutes away are the spectacular shops, art
galleries, restaurants and lounges of Las Olas Boulevard.
"This type of access
to everything downtown Fort Lauderdale has to offer is extremely hard to
come by, especially at this price point," said Joel Altman,
chairman of The Altman Companies. "We have succeeded in making The
Symphony reflect the ultimate in casual elegance and putting downtown
city living within the reach of more people than ever before," he added.
Altman continued his description:
Some nearby attractions include the Museum of
Science and Discovery with its 3-D IMAX Theater, the Fort Lauderdale
Museum of Art, the Florida Grand Opera and the historic Stranahan House.
Residents of The Symphony can share the exciting ambiance created by the
nearly 20 theater companies that perform year-round in the nearby
Riverwalk Arts and Entertainment District. This 22-block zone
features chic boutiques and hot clubs with musical offerings ranging
from Brazilian jazz to contemporary classics.
In addition,
much-anticipated annual events such as the Fort Lauderdale International
Film Festival and the Winterfest Holiday Boat Parade, take place nearby
throughout the year, offering boundless opportunities for entertainment.
Further, The Symphony is near the $50 million Las Olas Riverfront
entertainment and retail complex, and water taxis offers more options
across the river and along the 17th Street Causeway.
The Symphony's
action-packed address is complemented by the beauty and luxury of the
building itself. Its elegant Old World Mediterranean-inspired
architecture sets it apart from other buildings, enhanced by the
three-acre site's landscaped grounds and a pet walk. Meanwhile,
its spectacular interiors and sophisticated public spaces will inspire
residents and guests at every turn.
The Symphony's
developers, Joel Altman of the Altman Companies and Jack Abdo of the
Abdo Companies, hired interior designer Howard Snoweiss of RTKL to
create common areas that further reinforce the luxurious, yet laid-back
lifestyles offered here. Style and elegance are prominent
throughout The Symphony's numerous common areas - including its wine
cellar, on-site theater room for 20 people, resident's clubroom with
lounge and billiards area, café, business center with conference
facilities, and expansive 6,000-plus-square-foot spa and fitness area.
Set between the
residential towers is The Symphony's club and spa, which offers a long
list of exceptional lifestyle amenities including specialized treatment
rooms for massage therapy and other services. In addition to
having unlimited usage of these areas, residents and guests will be able
to indulge in the stunning recreation deck an the seventh floor, which
will feature an elegant pool and whirlpool spa, surrounded by luxurious
cabañas and a shade pavilion.
Boaters can make full
use of The Symphony's own marina, with boat slips available for purchase
solely by residents. Everyone can take advantage of the water taxi
service that regularly stops right at the front door. "The
Symphony was designed for those who seek an extraordinary lifestyle in
one of the most exciting areas of Fort Lauderdale," notes Laurie Ingber,
co-owner of Premier Sales Group, The Symphony's sole sales and marketing
agent.
The residences at The
Symphony feature exceptional quality materials and finishes throughout,
including kitchens with sophisticated Italian cabinetry adorned by
granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Master
bathrooms feature Kohler fixtures, Italian cabinetry and granite
countertops.
Altman Development
Corp. has earned a reputation for excellence, winning national acclaim
for uncommon design sensitivity and consistent attention to detail,
Ingber indicated. The company was recently recognized by South
Florida Business Journal with the "2005 Business of the Year Award" for
real estate development and by South Florida Chamber of Commerce with a
"Good to Great" award in the medium-sized business category.
Since its founding in
1968, and subsequent move into Florida in 1974 and Boca Raton in 1983,
Altman has developed more than 15,000 world-class condominium and
apartment residences throughout the United States. Emphasizing
quality over quantity, the professionals at Altman pride themselves on
delivering the very finest products and services to discerning clients
and residents, according to Ingber.
Altman said he is
committed to building a better Florida. The outstanding results of
this company's dedication to quality and unique design can be seen in
its accomplishments, he indicated. From the innovative concept of
The Symphony, a mixed-use condominium in downtown Fort Lauderdale, to
the recent successes of the Astor in Delray Beach and Harborage Yacht
Club in Stuart, Altman Development continues building on a strong
foundation of visionary leadership.
