Gay Realtor - Wilton Manors, Oakland Park, Fort Lauderdale & Surrounds

Wilton Manors has become the first choice in real estate for those who want to live in a gay-friendly community with a choice of stunning properties, great lifestyle options and the very best in social amenities.

Wilton Manors has the highest concentration of same-sex couples in Florida (in fact the second highest in the USA) and nearby Oakland Park the second highest in the State (and 10th in the country!). An article in the New York Times back in August 2011 shows a widespread increase from national census statistics over the past 30 years. It is fairly well accepted that this increase more likely reflects a change in gay couples feeling comfortable about being counted than an actual change in the number of same-sex couples on the street!

Wilton Manors and Oakland Park are leading other gay & lesbian and transgender communities across the nation in another important way. The amazing diversity of our communities is unrivalled, but we are incredibly proud of the way we get along! Building gay-friendly communities that work is a driving force behind the Fort Lauderdale lifestyle. Add to that some of the most outstanding real estate offerings in the country, and your new life in South Florida is on track to reward you with a lifestyle you might have only dreamed about elsewhere.

Finding a gay realtor
If you prefer to put your trust in a gay realtor who truly knows Wilton Manors, Oakland Park and the whole of Fort Lauderdale, you should talk to Daniel Seagrave at Seagrave Group Realty. Daniel and his staff live and work in the heart of Wilton Manors. When you need a real estate agent with real knowledge and experience who understands the community you want to live in, Daniel is here to help.

Wilton Manors is at the center of the gay community in Southeast Florida. With a population of 13,000 the city is truly aware of the needs of its GLBT residents and this awareness comes all the way from the top. Wilton Manors Mayor Gary Resnick and a number of City Commissioners are gay or lesbian!

Wilton Drive is the heart of Wilton Manors
The heartbeat of the island city can be felt on "The Drive", which is home to some of the hottest nightclubs, restaurants, shops and bars in South Florida. The majority of these cater predominantly to the gay community, but everyone is welcome to enjoy our unique lifestyle! The 2-4-1 Happy Hour is legendary in the Fort Lauderdale/Wilton Manors area, which also features a range of specialist club experiences (neighborhood, leather, dance, drag and sports bars to name a few). You'll find the whole of Fort Lauderdale is typically relaxed and accepting, not just the communities of Wilton Manors and Oakland Park.

Celebrating our diversity
Wilton Drive really comes alive as it plays host to the city's best known annual events: Stonewall Pride Festival & Parade, held each year in June; and the annual Halloween celebration Manors Masquerade.

Living with pride in your new community
This part of South Florida is well known as one of the most gay/gay-friendly locations in the country. There are more than 20 gay guesthouses and another 7 gay-friendly hotels situated between Fort Lauderdale beach and Wilton Drive if you are looking for temporary accommodation while arranging to buy your new home. One of these, the Cabanas guesthouse also offers a world class Mens Day Spa facility for visitors and local residents. Here in the heart of Wilton Manors, you'll find more than 50 gay & gay-friendly restaurants and some 30 or more gay and lesbian bars and nightclubs.

South Florida's most popular "gay" beaches are just minutes from Wilton Drive. Relax on Sebastian Beach and parts of North Fort Lauderdale Beach and (for the naturist) Haulover Beach, located just north of Miami.
